Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Must have broad knowledge of Accounting and Financial Analysis.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present to and interact with Senior Management, prioritize projects, and form opinions based on information collected.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, economic research, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable format.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to handle complex financial calculations such as return on investment, current value of future cash flows, and effective interest rate calculations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospitality/gaming experience helpful.
  • Experience with computer report writing software highly desirable.
  • Skilled in the use of ACCESS, COGNOS, SQL, Aristocrat Oasis, Kronos, MiCROS, and infinium.
  • Financial modeling experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Finance or related field from four-year college or university preferred.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs various analyses; gaming statistics, labor, etc. upon request.
  • Creates and maintains financial forecasts, statistical reports, and graphs.
  • Creates and maintains daily calendar, flash report, and daily operating report.
  • Prepares weekly operating and labor reports including headcount, dollars, and efficiency.
  • Performs queries of various databases to extract data for use in analysis.
  • Prepares ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Calculates profitability of marketing programs.
  • Analyzes results to identify opportunities for improving effectiveness of marketing expenditures.
  • Prepares and analyzes financial statement comparisons and year to date monthly comparisons on revenue, inventory, and cost of sales, payroll, and operating expenses.
  • Monitors labor cost and identifies opportunities to improve operating efficiencies; makes recommendations to ensure that all outlets are operating as profitably as possible.
  • Assists with the annual budget preparation, related schedules, and presentations.
  • Other duties, as needed.
