About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in the Finance & Accounting team and will help support Bluepeak’s growth strategy through financial reporting, budget and forecast modeling, and data transformation and analysis in order to support management and business partners. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and find opportunities for organizational improvements plus provide financial and operational insights.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in corporate finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Upon job offer, must be able to complete a background check and a drug test prior to employment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience maintaining and developing budget models, rolling forecasts, and ad-hoc cost analysis tools.
  • Background in month-end accounting close processes, including financial statement variance analysis and journal entry support.
  • Strong capability in large dataset analysis, including data validation, transformation, and visualization.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to understand broader business context.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • ERP systems such as NetSuite, PeopleSoft or JDEdwards
  • Data Analysis experience and working with BI tools preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a telecommunication industry or large infrastructure industry preferred
  • Experience in Workday Adaptive Planning a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build, update, and maintain financial models that support Bluepeak’s growth plans and operational decisions.
  • Analyze all categories of capital spending, identify trends, and explain the operational drivers behind changes in performance.
  • Track actual and committed project costs, compare them to budget, and develop rolling forecasts to highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Investigate significant variances, determine root causes, and communicate findings and recommendations to management and business partners.
  • Execute month-end tasks, including preparing integrated reports, reviewing preliminary financial results, creating accruals and reclasses, and completing entity schedules.
  • Create and implement new reports, metrics, and processes that improve data accuracy, visibility, and usability.
  • Lead portions of the forecast and budget cycles and deliver variance analyses that focus on the key drivers impacting performance.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
