Starbucks Licensed Coffeehouses Finance is seeking multiple senior financial analysts to provide support across various aspects of the Licensed business. Our team’s mission is to deliver critical finance support for our NA Retail Licensed Coffeehouses organization. To accomplish this, we need individuals with experience in supporting retail partnerships and working in collaborative, cross-functional organizations to drive financial success, process improvements and support business objectives and strategic direction. These roles contribute to Starbucks success by performing accurate reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly results. Additionally, the role supports annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and strategic initiatives by partnering with budget owners and operations leaders and managing consolidations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years of US military experience
  • Performing financial analysis job functions, including budgeting, forecasting, planning and financial reporting (5+ years)
  • Using electronic financial modeling skills (2+ years), Anaplan experience preferred
  • Presenting financial analysis and recommendations to a business unit leader (3+ years)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to craft clear, compelling materials and presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Consolidations or Retail Finance a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Support financial planning process through month-end, forecast, annual budget and strategic planning process.
  • Prepare management reports to measure performance against various financial metrics and key performance indicators, provide explanations on variance drivers and highlight opportunities and risks.
  • Build financial models and provide analytical support for business initiatives. Identify, analyze, and communicate trends and issues affecting the business.
  • Establish and facilitate process development and perform on-going review of planning and reporting process to evaluate effectiveness and make improvements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to set targets and deadlines, develop plans, conduct analyses, measure results and improve processes. Consult with senior management to present data, propose solutions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations that tell the story; summarize key insights for leaders.
