Senior Financial Analyst Description - Job Summary The purpose of this role is to increase BU value by providing meaningful insights to leadership and influencing decision makers to take specific actions that drive outcomes. This is a unique role in that it is the single point of contact for the entire PnL, managing long term plan, strategic initiative development, quota, allocations, and flash for all line items. Responsibilities This role is expected to independently seek and find key insights from the financials/market/competition/etc and make recommendations to the business leaders on specific actions that will drive measured outcomes This role is expected to independently find process gaps, make recommendations on course corrections, and then work with key stakeholders to influence and execute. This role requires a highly independent self-starter attitude and the skills to dive deep in the data when needed however always understands the end goal of the work Can manage tactical “executing” activities simultaneously with medium/longer-term process improvement and strategic activities. Responsible for presenting analysis/work and making recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise way. Responsible for full PnL ownership; forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning, and month-end close analysis, etc. Provides inputs for monthly review of expenses and capital for budgeting and forecasting process and analyzes variances with operational analytics and insight. Education & Experience Recommended Subscription based revenue model experience. Clearly be able to understand and walk between business metrics and how it impacts the PnL, understanding the nuances of an "aaS" businesses Advanced Excel: Creating models/automation from scratch. This role uses a large amount of data and will require building models from scratch and automation so that the majority of our time can be spent on value creation. Four-year Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. Typically has 6-10 years of work experience, preferably in corporate finance.
