About The Position

As a Senior Financial Analyst on Navan’s Strategic Finance team, your role will be critical in accelerating Navan’s strategic roadmap and taking on a variety of operational and strategic initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, CPA, CFA) is preferred
3+ years of work experience, ideally in one of the following areas Investment Banking, Consulting, or Corporate Finance
Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Detail-oriented problem solver with a track record of driving process improvements
Ability to build trust with stakeholders and leaders across the organization and drive results through soft skills, not through mandates
Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving, and high-intensity environments

Responsibilities

You will play a key part in Navan’s annual planning, quarterly board reporting, and monthly financial performance review processes, managing project milestones, and developing customized reporting for senior leadership.
Lead and own monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, while ensuring both accuracy and timeliness
Develop customized reporting solutions by leveraging advanced analytics and data visualization tools to provide clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Assist with developing and maintaining a complex, fully integrated 3-statement financial model to forecast future financial performance, evaluate risks and opportunities, and support strategic decision-making with data driven insights.
Capabilities to build and improve models within a framework with principles including consistency and security.
Partner with stakeholders across departments to identify relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with strategic objectives and business goals - including the development of data sourcing methods, monitoring of KPI trends, analysis of performance against targets, and creation of outputs to visualize key insights
Collaborate with department leads to track expenses, review forecasts, provide transparent financial insights, and overall be a strategic financial advisor to business partner(s)
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and respond to leadership requests
Monitor and track project milestones across multiple initiatives, ensuring timely completion and clear communication of any changes or risks
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing financial processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams where necessary
