Senior Financial Analyst

About The Position

This role partners closely with operations to support daily activities and provide financial insights that identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements. The position analyzes product costs, co‑leads quarterly and annual cost updates, and supports Agile processes, forecasting cycles, and month‑end close activities. It drives variance analysis, oversees WIP job monitoring, and ensures integration requirements are met from an operational finance perspective. The role also delivers inventory and direct material analytics and prepares clear, impactful financial presentations for business and executive reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to work in a global environment
  • Familiarity with IFRS/GAAP
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. with advanced Excel skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting knowledge preferred
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system
  • Knowledge of data warehouse reporting and analysis tools
  • Experience with HFM and OneStream is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with the operations team on day‑to‑day activities and initiatives.
  • Providing financial insight to teams in assessing risks and opportunities to achieve financial commitments, proactively establishing insightful analytics, and developing operational processes that enable teams to anticipate needs and support cross‑functional alignment.
  • Analyzing product costs and compiling outputs and recommendations.
  • Performing calculations of costing components—including material, overhead, and labor—to determine accurate standard costs.
  • Co‑leading the process for quarterly and annual product cost updates.
  • Co‑leading the Agile process and ongoing updates.
  • Supporting the quarterly and annual forecast processes.
  • Performing time‑sensitive month‑end close activities and conducting variance analysis as part of the monthly performance review.
  • Co‑leading the WIP jobs monitoring and closing process.
  • Owning the integration requirements from an operational finance standpoint.
  • Providing inventory and direct material reporting and analytics.
  • Preparing and presenting ad‑hoc financial presentations for business reviews.
  • Analyzing complex financial and operational data to deliver thoughtful, forward‑looking insights that identify risks and opportunities and enable informed business decision‑making.
  • Leading and supporting core operational finance and costing processes—including standard cost development, forecasting, and month‑end close—to ensure accuracy, discipline, and scalability.
