Position This is a full-time, exempt position that works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters and reports to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. The person in this position will be expected to work in the office four days a week. They are responsible for analyzing data, developing forecasts, communicating identified business issues to key stakeholders, and supporting business strategies. The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $111,300 depending on experience and education. WCF Insurance offers an extensive compensation package. All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation their first year. An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance; master's degree preferred.
  • At least five years of experience with financial forecasting, revenue modeling, or other related responsibilities.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting practices and procedures.
  • Advance proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification as a CPA, CMA, CFA, or AIAF preferred.
  • Experience with the Adaptive Planning program is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and communicate financial results, critical financial analysis, an insight to business leaders.
  • Develop premium, staffing, and other financial models to support our corporate strategy.
  • Evaluate premium production sources and profitability.
  • Understand loss, pricing, and other trends and provide recommendations to management.
  • Preparation of the company's annual operating plan and multi-year forecasts.
  • Evaluate and interpret budget to actual variances and provide advice to management.
  • Prepare financial forecast and proforma financial projections.
  • Work effectively, independently, and collaboratively with others.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability balanced with sound business judgment.
