About The Position

Lument, a subsidiary of ORIX USA, provides comprehensive capital solutions for multifamily, affordable, seniors and health care real estate. This includes a full suite of financing and strategic solutions such as investment banking, mortgage banking, private equity, a variety of direct balance sheet lending potions, investment sales, and mergers and acquisitions. The Investment Sales Senior Financial Analyst is focused exclusively on the sale of seniors housing real estate transactions. This position will have the opportunity to be involved in every stage of a transaction, including underwriting, market research, property tours, and preparation of offering memorandums, marketing, and term sheet negotiation, closing and client meetings/events. Will work in a high-energy, team-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate, Finance or Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a financial analysis environment
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to build, modify, and manage underwriting and valuation models efficiently.

  • Previous Seniors Housing Industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare investment sales advisory packages and submissions for commercial real estate transactions, including research, financial modeling and composition of executive summaries.
  • Responsible for complex financial modeling of commercial real estate transactions and utilize market and data / comps to correctly underwrite a transaction including Internal Rates of Return.
  • Responsible for the preparation of valuation analysis and marketing materials for Broker Opinion of Value (BOV's), Offering Memorandums (OM's), and working with investor clients to understand current and probable future value of investment real estate assets.
  • Manage the due diligence process and be the driving force in working through the marketing and closing processes for each transaction, and be in constant communication with the Producer, the team and the Client.
  • Use this information from the marketing process to assist clients in making decisions related to their business plan and capital structure.
  • Must be technically proficient in use of databases and be able to effectively identify what data from this system will be useful to determine trends and for preparation for pitches and meetings.
  • Must understand and review real estate documents (historical financial operating reports, leases, loan documents, appraisals, etc.) to determine the best path forward given the nature of the issue and have above average level of skill in Excel.
