About The Position

POSITION OVERVIEW: ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES: Prepare required journal entries and account reconciliations during monthly close cycles and assist in the compilation and presentation of the month end information. Provide general support during the month-end close process. Identify and recommend process changes and best practices needed to drive appropriate accounting and/or achieve efficiencies. Build relationships with business partners and meet regularly to ensure business activities are reflected in the accounting records. Other responsibilities as directed by management which could include ad hoc journal entry preparation, ad hoc research and analysis across multiple accounting systems, or other miscellaneous processes to support the business needs. SKILLS: Technical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organized, and results oriented. Systems aptitude and proficiency in Excel, MS SQL, and financial software. Ability to analyze and interpret large sets of data. Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP. Soft/Leadership skills: Active listener; strong communication - verbal and nonverbal. Probes; good analysis; solves more detailed problems. Manages time; self-directed in most work areas; assists others. Builds relationships with teammates and establishes relationships with key stakeholders. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required Education and Experience Four-year college degree > 1 Year Preferred Education and Experience Four-year college degree in accounting or related field. Systems aptitude and proficiency in Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, and financial software Experience with GAAP. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to details, organized, and results oriented. > 1 Year Preferred Licenses/Certifications CPA license is preferred. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
