About The Position

Prime Video is changing the way millions of customers enjoy video. Prime Video delivers premium content to customers through purchase and rental of movies and TV shows, unlimited on-demand streaming through Amazon Prime subscriptions, add-on channels like Apple+ and HBO, and live concerts and sporting events like NFL and NASCAR. We are seeking an ambitious Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our technology and product leadership teams. In this role, you will drive strategic financial planning and analysis for operational costs, headcount optimization, and Prime Video's technical infrastructure (COGS) across our global portfolio. You'll develop sophisticated financial models and metrics to guide business decisions and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership to influence strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong business acumen, financial modeling expertise, exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly with senior stakeholders. A passion for technology and digital entertainment is essential, and experience with large-scale technology investments is preferred. Requirements

• 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
• Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

Nice To Haves

• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Responsibilities

• Provide regular financial updates, including analysis versus prior periods and forecasts/budgets
• Develop operational metrics to measure progress and improve results on PV Tech and Products Opex and COGS budgets
• Improve and automate reporting and financial processes
• Communicate financial updates to senior level Amazon leaders across Finance, Product, and Tech.
