Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience at Unum.
• CPA, CMA or CFA certification preferred.
• Three to six years comparable work experience.
• Strong understanding of the components of multiple financial statements.
• Experience navigating change in a positive way.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Intermediate to advanced EXCEL skills.
• General ledger systems and reporting tools experience preferred.
• Proficient in Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the AVP, Corporate Finance, the SVP, Investor Relations & Treasury and other members of senior leadership in representing the company in the external financial community.
• Analyze peer company financials and disclosures.
• Monitor analyst estimates and reports.
• Assist the IR metrics/KPI program.
• Support the quarterly close and reporting process.
• Conduct special studies and lead projects.
• Communicate issues identified and proactively recommend resolutions.
• Maintain integrity of data in various systems and data assets.
• Partner effectively with business management to provide solutions that deliver business value.
