As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will serve as the subject matter expert for our enterprise planning applications, collaborating with various finance teams to enhance and support the planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for the Life Sciences finance teams (LSG and BPG). The ideal candidate will possess a blend of functional FP&A experience and a strong foundational understanding of the planning process, complemented by excellent communication and project management skills. In this role, you will support divisional and regional finance teams during the annual operating plan (AOP) and monthly forecast processes. You will ensure the accurate and timely execution of AOP and forecasts by closely partnering with the FP&A and IT teams to identify and resolve any blockers. Additionally, you will lead the reconciliation process for AOP and Forecast across financial systems, champion user competency and adoption of planning through training and onboarding, and drive successful execution of PLN projects by participating as a subject matter expert and tester to ensure that functionality meets user requirements without impacting existing system functionality. You will also maintain group-led divisional allocation processes across systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the divisional and regional finance teams during the annual operating plan (AOP) and monthly forecast processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of AOP and forecast by closely partnering with the FP&A and IT teams to identify and resolve blockers.
  • Lead reconciliation process for AOP and Forecast across financial systems.
  • Champion user competency and adoption of planning through training, onboarding, and user engagement consistently across finance.
  • Drive successful execution of PLN projects by participating as an SME and tester to ensure that functionality meets user requirements and doesn't impact existing system functionality.
  • Maintain group led divisional allocation processes across systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related fields.
  • 5+ years in Finance, Accounting, or IT at a large company.
  • Experience within a large multinational company is helpful.
  • Hyperion Planning (EPBCS/PBCS) experience strongly preferred. Experience with other EPM tools considered a plus; Power user of Excel, proficient in MS Office Word, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
  • Deep understanding of the budgeting/forecasting process and associated key performance indicators.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements while working as a liaison between business and technical teams.
  • Organized, meticulous, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accuracy that delivers results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal & written communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Customer-centric, focused on providing proactive systems solutions to drive business performance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Python or other coding languages considered a plus.
  • Natural bias towards continuous improvement. Exposure to PPI/Kaizen methodologies is considered an advantage.
