About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst role will be located in Phoenix, Arizona. This will be a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. You will be immersed in analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on both internal and external financial data across our organization. You'll be empowered to take the lead in identifying and resolving challenges, while also contributing innovative ideas for improvement throughout ongoing analysis and research across various finance functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of FP&A experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills with the ability to develop and implement advanced forecasting tools
  • Profound knowledge and understanding of corporate finance principles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for senior management
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships within the company
  • Capacity to uncover the narrative behind financial data, providing valuable insights
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of planning and scheduling activities over extended periods
  • Effective management of large volumes of information across various formats
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of work

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgeting and monthly forecasts, ensuring accurate and realistic financial projections
  • Partner with the business to develop and refine strategic financial targets, track progress, and deliver actionable insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to ensure transparent and achievable financial forecasts
  • Conduct regular expense and variance analysis comparing actual performance to Budgets, Forecasts and Prior Periods
  • Proficiently handle complex spreadsheets with pivot tables and charts
  • Develop and implement advanced forecasting tools providing comprehensive and insightful financial analysis
  • Prepare and present compelling presentation materials for senior management, highlighting key financial insights and performance metrics
  • Advocate for Centuri's Core Values and culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned with versatility and proactivity
