About The Position

We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst FP&A to join our Finance team. This role will be a full-time, permanent position. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to ferocious customer service, treating people right, and being a part of a team. Our team is the heart of everything! The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role, providing financial leadership by developing models, performing analysis, and partnering with business leaders to guide strategic decisions. The Senior Financial Data Analyst role will report directly to the VP, Finance, and will be responsible for initiating the annual strategic planning process in collaboration with DRMG leadership, leading the annual budget and quarterly forecasts. They will work collaboratively cross-functionally with Business Intelligence (BI), and various functional teams to analyze data and derive actionable insights. They will also identify key trends and opportunities, presenting findings to leadership and executive teams to inform strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor s Degree in Finance or Commerce.
  • 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a cross-functional setting.
  • Proven track record analyzing and providing insights using financial and operational datasets.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical audiences and Leadership.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • The ability to adapt to changing business needs and propose innovative, data -driven solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau, Power BI, or similar is an asset.
  • A CPA designation, or in the process of attaining one, is an asset.
  • An MBA is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Presenting findings and recommendations to leadership and executive teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Providing timely and actionable insights that address business questions and support decision-making processes.
  • Assisting in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor business performance.
  • Collaborating with Business Intelligence (BI), Data Engineers, and functional teams to understand business objectives and data needs.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data-driven insights effectively.
  • Designing and developing reports and dashboards using visual report building tools to provide value and insight for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ensuring data is presented with high accuracy and relevance for its intended consumers across the organization, in collaboration with the IT/Data team.
  • Owning the compilation and reporting of profitability data at various levels for the company.
  • Working with the accounting team to prepare reports for reporting packages.
  • Creating, publishing and presenting reports on the performance of the sales organization.
  • Leading the annual budget and quarterly forecast process for the total group of DRMG/Dollco companies.
  • Working collaboratively with the VP of Finance, Sales and Functional leaders to develop the annual budget.
  • Collaborating with PMO to prepare project review, assist with prioritization and incorporate selected projects into the annual budget.
  • Assisting with preparation of Monthly Reporting Package providing variance analysis and management commentary interpreting company performance for Executives, Management and employee facing presentations.
  • Assisting in development of cashflow projections.
  • Staying up-to-date with best practices in financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Being a part of a continuous learning environment that focuses on career growth and development through our internal learning platform, DRMG University.
  • Assisting with other tasks as assigned by the VP, Finance.
