About The Position

The primary goal of the Financial Planning & Analysis team is to provide accurate and timely financial and non-financial information to senior management and ownership to make informed business decisions. In addition, the team supports all departments through various strategic projects and analyses. This position requires a detail-oriented, autonomous, and motivated individual.

Requirements

• BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field
• 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, strategic planning, or other related field
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with Excel-based financial modeling experience.
• Strong analytical skills and proven problem solver.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing assignments, and maintain confidential & sensitive information.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels both internally and externally.
• Self-motivator willing to work extended hours, including events on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification (CPA/CFA) preferred but not required.
• Experience with Data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the company-wide financial reporting process including annual budgets, interim forecasts, monthly actuals v. budget variance analyses and more.
• Maintain existing and assist with developing new dynamic financial models that unlock valuable financial insights to support leadership and business leader decision-making.
• Assist with developing and maintaining a dashboard of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that provide senior leadership and other stakeholders key insights on the health of the business.
• Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of annual league financial reporting including multi-year financial projections.
• Analyze and evaluate current and historical financial information, including league-wide financial information, to refine methodologies used for financial projections and recommend improvements to business operations.
• Develop relationships and work closely with various departments to provide valuable financial insights that support strategic and operational decisions. This includes performing analytical reviews, financial modeling, and ad-hoc analyses for various departments.
• Day-to-day management of FP&A team’s relevant financial software, as well as process / system documentation and end user instruction manuals.
• Leverage current planning tools to create and automate processes.
• Assist in developing and reporting on pre-event financial projections and post-event settlements for special events (Concerts, College Football, Soccer Games, etc.).
