Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will join our Global Corporate FP&A team in Marysville, OH. This position will be based at The Scotts Miracle-Gro world headquarters in Marysville, a suburb of Columbus, OH. The Corporate Finance FP&A Sr. Analyst plays a critical role in key finance processes such as the monthly total company financial consolidation/management reporting process, various internal ad-hoc reports for Executive leadership including the Chief Financial Officer, financial support to the Chief Communications Officer and the Investor Relations team, and assistance with the annual budget modeling processes. This will be a hybrid role that will be expected to work 3 days at our Corporate Office in Marysville, OH! In this role you will :

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years in corporate financial or accounting role is required
  • Intellectual curiosity-Seeking to constantly learn and improve
  • Analytical mindset-passionate about solving problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient financial and accounting acumen
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or MBA is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prepare, and present total company monthly financial reporting materials to the executive management team, including the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
  • Review and consolidate total company forecasts and annual budget and ensure alignment with leadership
  • Responsible for forecasting several line items within the financial statements on a monthly basis, including total company gross margin analysis
  • Develop and execute intricate long-term and ad hoc financial models to support decision-making, strategic planning, scenario analysis, and finance/executive leadership
  • Assist in quarterly earnings preparation and analysis
