This position works out of our Des Plaines, Illinois location in Abbott’s molecular division. This position primarily supports the Abbott Molecular Global Operations & Supply Chain Organization and is ideal for someone seeking to broaden their experience in financial planning, reporting and manufacturing cost accounting. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strategic and innovative thinker that will challenge status quo and become a cross-functional business partner
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced Skills in MS Excel preferred
  • Proficiency with TM1/SAP/HFM

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced excel skills

  • Standard Cost setting experience (SAP experience preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Sr Financial Analyst (FP&A) is a key finance stakeholder who works primarily with Operations and Supply Chain business partners leading all aspects of the financial planning, forecasting and financial execution processes for the division’s manufacturing operations
  • Division Capital Planning, reporting and management including RCE initiation, fixed asset deployment, LBE consolidation for division capital- including Sr. management review preparation.
  • Standard Costing including SAP costing activities, financial planning, reporting and analysis for annual PLAN, LBE and actuals cycles, or ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Working with all areas of the business and others in the finance team to review results and explain variances.
  • Meet with business partners to prepare well supported quarterly LBEs for P&L Spend and Balance sheet items.
  • Process Improvements - Identify areas that can be improved and constructively propose new solutions that drive efficiencies.
  • Develop and utilize sound financial processes to drive improved business performance.
  • Corporate/Division financial policies and procedures and understanding of GAAP.
  • Responsible for adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs).
  • Relationships - Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Provide financial support and fully support achievement of financial plans, goals and objectives.
