About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a pivotal position that supports the rapidly growing EC2 GenAI businesses. This role involves addressing key financial deliverables and driving business efficiencies to enhance profitability. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior management and various stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations, build financial models, and standardize reporting packages.

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• 3+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Nice To Haves

• Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations.
• Build financial models for new business concepts and deliver data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change.
• Present financial summaries and business insights to business and finance leadership.
• Develop and standardize financial reporting packages.
• Drive continuous improvements in profitability, free cash flow, and operational efficiency.
