Position Purpose: The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of Financial Services initiatives and provide analytical leadership to drive business performance. The Senior Financial Analyst will work cross‑functionally to deliver financial insights, support portfolio growth (including private label, cobrand, and payments), and prepare analysis used in evaluating and informing business decisions.

Requirements

  • Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements M+
  • 3 to 5 years of Financial/Accounting experience
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Demonstrate expertise in business analysis and financial modeling
  • Self-starter, efficient, organized and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion.
  • Strong analytical skills and attentive to details.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
  • Flexible in attitude and approach to business solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in banking, private‑label credit, cobrand portfolios, or payments is an asset.
  • CPA designation preferred/an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
  • SQL experience an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze information and develop reports to drive the business and to improve sales and profitability, including financial services portfolio performance.
  • Prepare financial analysis and forecasts for the use in the development of financial business decisions.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners across divisional and corporate offices to support execution of private‑label, cobrand, and payments initiatives (including Buy-Now-Pay-Later, digital wallets, and loyalty‑related programs).
  • Collaborate with store and field teams to support execution and gather insights.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation, monthly forecast updates, and portfolio reviews.
  • Provide value‑added analysis to enable strategic decision‑making across credit, loyalty, and payments programs.
  • Conduct special financial, statistical, and competitive analyses in coordination with cross‑functional partners (e.g., Merchandising, Marketing, Digital, Legal).
  • Work with merchandising to develop analysis to drive the business.
