Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in strategic finance roles within high-growth software companies.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills with proven accuracy managing hosting budgets.
• Proficiency in dashboard building, data modeling, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience working asynchronously as part of a fully remote, distributed team.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years managing cloud cost or partnering closely with Engineering teams, hands-on experience with AWS/GCP billing tools, knowledge of cloud pricing models, BI tools experience, SQL familiarity, and FinOps certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for cloud and AI infrastructure spend across multiple vendors.
• Develop and maintain detailed bottoms-up financial models, including long-range forecasts, cost driver analyses, and investment scenario modeling.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud cost optimization initiatives, including savings plans and resource right-sizing.
• Support contract negotiations by modeling cloud usage, pricing, and discount structures to maximize efficiency.
• Build and maintain cloud & AI unit economics reporting, including cost allocation models linking cloud spend to product impact.
• Enhance financial management and spend prediction through improved tools, automation, ETL, APIs, and forecasting models.
• Develop dashboards and executive reporting to track cloud spend, efficiency metrics, and KPIs.
