The Senior Finance Specialist acts as a business partner between the Finance Department and Operations Departments for the new US factory in Indiana. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy by managing financial aspects of procurement, accounts payable, travel & entertainment expenses, inventory, and financial analysis.

Requirements

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP as well as risks and controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands-on approach.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Certified Public Accountant (or progress toward) or similar certification preferred.
  • Preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP system is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, T&E, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Assist in managing the month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Monitor month-end inventory count processes.
  • Participate in the year-end financial statement audit through effectively responding to specific requests and inquiries from the external audit team.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and other departments to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Monitor financial integrity and compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.
  • Participate in other strategic finance, accounting, and business projects if needed.
