Team Overview We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to serve as the strategic finance partner to the SVP of Professional Services, supporting a ~$100M+ global PS organization. This leader will oversee forecasting, budgeting, and performance management for the PS business, ensuring financial discipline, operational efficiency, and scalable growth as PowerSchool continues to expand globally. This role requires a blend of strategic insight, operational rigor, and SaaS business acumen. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and business partner who can translate financial results into actionable insights, influence senior leaders, and drive profitable outcomes across implementation, support, and education services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus).
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, ideally in SaaS or Professional Services environments.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, services margin analysis, and project-based revenue models.
  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency with Excel, Adaptive Planning, and Salesforce.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders, influence decisions, and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Experience with Salesforce, CPQ tools, and financial modeling in Excel or BI platforms.
  • Ability to be organized, strategically focused, and detail oriented is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing or mentoring analysts preferred.
  • Familiarity with public-sector procurement or K-12 funding processes are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L forecasting and budgeting for the $100M+ Professional Services organization, including revenue, margin, and operating expenses.
  • Develop and maintain driver-based models for revenue recognition, backlog conversion, labor utilization, and billable capacity planning.
  • Partner with Accounting and RevOps to ensure revenue is forecasted and recognized in compliance with ASC 606 and company policy.
  • Lead monthly forecasting and quarterly close processes, including variance analysis and management reporting. Drive consistency in deal execution through frameworks, playbooks, and approval governance that promote speed without compromising compliance or financial standards.
  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the SVP of Professional Services and their leadership team.
  • Provide actionable insights on delivery efficiency, staffing models, margin improvement, and backlog health.
  • Support long-term planning and growth strategies, including pricing, partner models, and new service offerings.
  • Collaborate with GTM Finance, Product Finance, and Corporate FP&A to align PS performance with company-wide financial goals.
  • Enhance visibility and predictability of PS performance through dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting.
  • Partner with HR and Professional Services Ops to model headcount, utilization, and productivity, ensuring alignment between bookings, delivery capacity, and revenue targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting methodologies, process automation, and data accuracy.
