Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA strongly preferred)
5–7+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, including supervisory responsibilities
Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and nonprofit compliance
Proficiency with financial systems and advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to convey financial information clearly

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in nonprofit or faith-based organizations a plus
Sage Intacct experience preferred

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and nonprofit reporting standards
Coordinate annual audits and assist with implementing recommendations
Prepare cash flow projections and support financial forecasting
Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and mission-driven culture
Maintain and optimize financial systems and technology (Sage Intacct experience preferred)
Present financial insights to leadership and support board reporting
