Join the Human Resources (HR) Finance team, supporting the front-line customer-facing HR organizations, which includes our Line HR, HR Consulting, and Corporate Functions. As Senior Finance Manager, HR People Insights, you will serve as a strategic finance partner, providing controllership and analytical insights that drive long-term planning, cost management, and resource allocation. The Line HR and HR Consulting teams deliver critical HR support across Microsoft's divisions, focusing on talent management, organizational design, change management, and leadership enablement. As the finance lead for these groups, you will collaborate directly with four Corporate Vice Presidents (CVPs) and their leadership teams. In this role, you will need to build trusted partnerships, offering financial insights that guide resourcing decisions and improve operational efficiency to bring success. Your adept analytical skills, business acumen, and sound judgment will be key to evaluating processes and optimizing budgets.   • Analyze the financial performance of the Line HR and Corporate Functions teams, supporting leaders in identifying opportunities for resource optimization.
  • Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
  • Provide support during financial close periods and deliver recurring financial reports, forecasts, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Use variance analysis to inform future planning and project decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by responding to partner inquiries and offering insights on financial plans, long-range strategy, and performance trends.
  • Apply Microsoft Finance frameworks to gather, analyze, and present data.
  • Leverage data mining, business intelligence tools, and advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and statistical techniques, to generate actionable insights.
  • Continuously enhance data collection and communication methods.
  • Ensure financial accuracy and compliance with company policies, legal standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide guidance on documentation, policy interpretation, and business process alignment.
  • Contribute to high-impact, cross-functional projects that evolve the finance function to meet the growing scale and complexity of the business.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of business partnering experience.
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
