About The Position

Amazon is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This role focuses on leading finance transformation projects that enhance the way Amazon manages financial data, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and delivering insights that drive business results. The successful candidate will work closely with various business finance teams to identify inefficiencies in financial processes and develop recommendations for improvement. This position requires strategic thinking, effective communication with leadership, and the ability to manage a team of finance managers while fostering a culture of innovation and smart risk-taking.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience managing and leading a team of 10+ members.
  • 10+ years of experience in analysis and reporting of financial results.
  • 8+ years of experience building financial and operational reports that inform business decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience hiring, leading, and developing teams.
  • 8+ years of experience in continuous improvement projects to enhance controllership.
  • 8+ years of experience identifying and addressing data inaccuracies.
  • 8+ years of mentoring junior finance or business team members.
  • 5+ years of experience working with senior staff (e.g., C-suite).
  • MBA or CPA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide finance transformation projects to improve financial data management.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
