Senior Finance Associate Salary: $101200 to $106000 per year Location: Evanston, IL and various, unanticipated locations throughout the United States. Job Role and Responsibilities: Provide regular reporting and financial analysis to support senior leaders of our regions, business units and corporate functions. Identify and resolve any financial issues related to our operations. Conduct proactive analysis on clients and practice areas and identify opportunities for Commercial improvement. Provide reporting on our financial status and outlook. Identify financial risks/issues and provide practical advice to help leadership address them. Drive and improve performance in line with strategic plans. Work cross-functionally to ensure financial success of our client engagements. Engage effectively with project teams and finance colleagues at all levels to identify and resolve any financial issues relating to a particular space. Understand P&L revenue and cost drivers to aid client leads in improving profitability for a space. Support with creation and maintenance of detailed forecasts for revenue, cost, and profit, including pipeline tracking/business development support. Increase the awareness of good financial management practices across the firm. Update revenue and profit forecasts for client accounts, markets, and regions. Perform cost analysis to capture insights on company expense trends. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis support and support client teams in project pricing, including supporting large ongoing client projects by calculating cost and margin variances from original plan. May work at various, unanticipated locations throughout the United States.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a finance-related role.
  • Alternatively, Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a finance-related role.
  • Position requires experience with the following: 1. Conducting qualitative analysis and reporting of financial data; 2. Performing financial modeling and valuation to support internal business units or stakeholders; 3. Conducting financial planning, including forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and profit/cost analysis; 4. Automating repetitive tasks, creating custom functions, and enhancing financial models using Excel Macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA); 5. Utilizing Power BI to manipulate, transform, and visualize data and make forecasts; 6. Risk management techniques to identify, assess, and manage potential risks that could negatively impact business goals; and 7. Communicating data driven results to internal and external stakeholders.
