Senior Finance Analyst, Product
About The Position
The Finance and Strategy team at Chainalysis are strategic financial advisors to our leadership team. We strive to grow our processes, operations, and team to meet the rapidly expanding needs of the business. We seek to match the pace of innovation and deliver real time, meaningful insights to the business. The Senior Finance Analyst will be a dedicated financial strategist for our Product organization. In this role, you’ll build, own, and maintain financial models, reports, and analyses that support Product and Finance leadership. You’ll help us develop insights and partnerships across Product and Engineering to accelerate team goals and optimize R&D spend.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in strategic finance business partnering, FP&A, or investment banking
- Excellent financial modeling skills, including the ability to work with large data sets
- Experience managing cloud, including analyzing usage trends, identifying savings levers, and partnering with technical teams to implement optimization initiatives
- Proven ability to scale manual processes into automated ones
- Proven ability to work cross functionally by building relationships and influencing others
- Bias for action and enthusiasm for solving problems
- Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with blockchain technology
- Experience with Adaptive and NetSuite
- Experience with BI tools like Tableau and data warehouses like Snowflake or Databricks
- Previous experience in a B2B, enterprise SaaS environment
Responsibilities
- Be a strategic thought partner to the business by utilizing your financial acumen to analyze results, trends, and key insights
- Identify and solve complex business problems through data driven analysis and storytelling
- Own cloud infrastructure financial management, partnering with Engineering to track cloud spend, identify optimization opportunities, and drive savings initiatives
- Collaborate with and influence cross functional, global teams to achieve objectives
- Proactively identify opportunities for change, process improvement, and system enhancements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance organization
- Manage and execute ad hoc projects while maintaining day to day operations
