As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles for infrastructure Operating Expenditure and Capital Expenditure.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast costs, identify risks and opportunities, and analyze sensitivities.
  • Serve as the primary finance contact for YouTube's Infrastructure teams.
  • Build relationships with technical leaders to understand their roadmaps, issues, and resource needs.
  • Drive analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within infrastructure spending.
  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to monitor resource utilization and cost trends.
  • Deliver insightful monthly and quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis to business partners and Finance leadership.
  • Communicate financial information and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Partner on evaluating the financial impact of new technology investments, architectural changes, and vendor agreements.
  • Develop Return on Investment and other financial models to support investment decisions.
