About The Position

The Senior Field Specialist - A/V is responsible for installing and troubleshooting complex audio visual systems in corporate, government, and educational environments. This role emphasizes customer experience and requires strong technical skills in audio visual design, signal flow, and system integration. The specialist will work collaboratively with a team, providing training and support while ensuring installations meet project specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 4-6 years' experience in professional Audio Visual installations.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Experience with audio and video conferencing installations.
  • Understanding of Audio Visual network requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of VoIP and analog phone systems.
  • Crestron Digital Media Certified.
  • Biamp Tesira Certified.
  • Infocomm CTS-I Certified.
  • OSHA Certified.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with complex control systems programming.
  • Familiarity with various training methods for self-education.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high level site surveys and relay client needs to the design team.
  • Stage and install complex multi-room Audio Visual installations while coordinating with on-site trades and customer IT staff.
  • Train Field Specialists on new products and Audio Visual standards.
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and work with Design Engineer to ensure installations are implemented according to the SOW.
  • Commission complex multi-room installations using room commissioner tool kit.
  • Work with programmers to install basic room control systems.
  • Commission audio visual manufacturer equipment and configure for optimal performance.
  • Provide user and technical level training on all installed systems.
  • Complete and submit installation documentation including as-built drawings and configuration file backups.
  • Work with minimal supervision and act as a team lead for project implementations.
  • Escalate client issues to proper resources when necessary.
  • Maintain professionalism in all communications.
