The Senior Technical Service Associate will Supervise and assist plant specialists to service and install new and existing equipment. This includes performing equipment installation supervision, maintenance supervision and providing training in the Powder/Liquid/Container/UV lines of business.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or two-year technical certificate.
  • 3-5 years successful experience in industrial service or equipment installation is required.
  • 3-5 years of Experience in a Nordson ICS Field Engineering Role
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting with Allen Bradley controls required.
  • Basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience finishing industry is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel, including intermittent international travel is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex installation projects of new equipment, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and company standards.
  • Serve as the primary site manager and senior Nordson representative during all phases of installation and commissioning.
  • Supervise and mentor skilled tradesmen and junior engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers, internal teams, and third-party contractors to resolve technical and logistical issues efficiently.
  • Deliver advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic support for mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including PLCs and robotics.
  • Conduct comprehensive system audits and performance evaluations of Nordson equipment, recommending improvements and upgrades.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for customers and internal staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational excellence.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Nordson products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to product development feedback loops based on field insights.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and project summaries for internal and customer use.
  • Perform other strategic and technical duties as assigned
