The Customer Support (CS) organization ensures installation, qualification, repair, and maintenance of ASML systems at customer sites while transferring critical know-how to customers. As part of the HMI technology team, you will play a key role in supporting advanced metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. This senior-level role involves direct interaction with customers, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and leadership in resolving complex technical issues. You will independently execute maintenance, upgrades, and diagnostics while driving continuous improvement initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.

  • Lead Complex Service Activities: Perform installation, qualification, upgrades, and relocations of HMI systems; ensure flawless execution of major hardware and software changes.
  • Drive Issue Resolution & Escalation: Own problem statements, utilize escalation channels (2L Tech Support, Applications, 3L Global Support Center), and deliver clear technical communication.
  • Customer Engagement & Training: Act as primary technical interface with customers; provide training, guidance, and proactive advice to optimize system performance.
  • Plan & Coordinate Operations: Maintain installation and maintenance plans with a minimum 3-week look-ahead; manage material flow and visitor preparation for efficient execution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze post-mortems, propose structural improvements, and contribute to technical action plans in collaboration with TS/Apps/GSC.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Guide junior engineers, assess training needs, and foster a culture of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Fleet & Knowledge Management: Track HMI fleet configurations, engineering changes, and maintain accurate documentation for sharing and distribution.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Engineering or related field).
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience working with electromechanical systems in semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
  • At least 5 years of experience with eBeam Inspection systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability; ability to work independently and lead complex tasks.
  • Strong customer focus with proven ability to manage priorities under demanding conditions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements.
  • High attention to detail and adherence to strict procedures.
  • experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) is a plus.
