About The Position

We are seeking an experienced sales engineer to join our team in the Bay Area. In this role, you will need to have a strong sales mindset and deep technical expertise. This role will report to the Director of Strategic Accounts and will be expected to travel regularly in the Bay Area, and occasionally in the greater US and abroad.

Requirements

  • 10+ years customer facing FAE, pre-sales, consulting, or product management background required
  • Experience selling or supporting wireless networking solutions
  • Experience in consumer electronics and Cloud Computing preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related field
  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies required
  • Working knowledge of Wireless Networking technologies such as but not limited to: BLE, WiFi, Thread, etc.
  • Will prioritize candidates with prior experience calling on major Bay Area customer and on Key/Strategic Accounts

Responsibilities

  • Be an expert in all Nordic products and technologies
  • Work alongside sales to provide complex technical consultation, anticipate and identify customer needs, and recommend Nordic products to meet those needs
  • Apply exceptional written and oral communication skills to lead business and technical discussions effectively
  • Conduct deep technical conversations and product demonstrations to external engineering teams and other technical stakeholders
  • Set and manage expectations with customer and team members
  • Provide technical support throughout the pre-sales cycle for opportunities
  • Remain organized and focused on removing sales obstacles through creativity and adaptation to rapidly changes circumstances
  • Develop relationships with key customer contacts for growth within their group
  • Provide professional responses to customer RFPs / RFIs
  • Effectively position technology offering against competitive options
  • Be responsible for representing the products, company values, and brand to customer
  • Where needed, improve or develop technical documentation to ease understanding and customer usage of products and services
  • Capture requested features and provide feedback to Product Management, Marketing, and other internal teams
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
