The Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing various aspects of project execution, including closeout, redlines, test audits, lessons learned, warranties, and product submittals. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all engineering tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, with a focus on quality and compliance with project specifications. The Field Engineer will work closely with leads and superintendents to manage changes to the scope of work and ensure that all infrastructure is installed according to design specifications. Additionally, the Field Engineer will be involved in the auditing process, verifying that all testing projects match the prints and that any necessary retests are conducted in a timely manner. The position also involves maintaining documentation related to lessons learned and warranties, as well as managing product submittals and labels for installation teams.

  • Closeout of projects

  • Updating lessons learned documentation throughout the build
  • Gathering information for warranties towards the end of the build
  • Completing product submittals after RFP issuance
  • Printing labels for installation teams
  • Overseeing RFIs and ensuring proper submission
  • Verifying and managing design and shop drawings
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents
  • Must be self-motivated and professional
  • Experience with fiber and copper installations
  • Familiarity with BIM360 for design management
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $42.00 to $47.00
