About The Position

The Field Engineer will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of project closeout, including redlines, test audits, warranties, and product submittals. They will ensure that all infrastructure is installed according to design specifications and will manage the redlining process for changes in the scope of work. The Field Engineer will also be involved in verifying fiber and copper installations, conducting audits, and maintaining documentation related to lessons learned and warranties. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in project management tools.

Requirements

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents
• Must be self-motivated and professional

Responsibilities

• Closeout of projects
• Manage redlines and submit changes to the scope of work
• Conduct test audits and verify cable schedules
• Gather information for warranties and submit for processing
• Complete product submittals and verify BOM with POs
• Print labels for installation teams
• Oversee RFIs and ensure proper documentation
• Verify and manage design and shop drawings
• Update lessons learned documentation throughout the project
• Coordinate with teams for audits and retests
