The Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing various aspects of project closeout, including redlines, test audits, lessons learned, warranties, and product submittals. This role involves ensuring that all infrastructure is installed according to design specifications and managing the documentation and verification processes associated with project completion. The Field Engineer will work closely with leads and superintendents to submit changes to the scope of work and will utilize internal trackers for managing redlines for both fiber and copper installations. Additionally, the Field Engineer will conduct audits, verify cable schedules, and ensure that all testing projects align with the prints. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams to address RFIs and maintain design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Oversee project closeout activities including redlines and warranties.
  • Manage the submission of redlines to engineering and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Utilize internal trackers for managing redlines for fiber and copper installations.
  • Conduct test audits and verify that all testing projects match the prints.
  • Collaborate with teams to document lessons learned throughout the project.
  • Complete product submittals and verify BOM with POs.
  • Print labels for installation teams and manage reprints as necessary.
  • Oversee RFIs and ensure proper documentation and communication with teams.
  • Verify and manage design-related tasks including shop drawings and revisions.
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.
  • Experience with BIM360 and design verification.
  • Familiarity with cable installation and testing processes.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from USD $42.00 to $47.00.
