PAE is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Field Engineer to join our team as a Construction Administrator supporting multiple active and upcoming projects in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. This remote role will require regular site visits in Maryland and close coordination with project teams to ensure quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
  • Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in the building industry
  • Proven experience in construction administration, site inspections, and client-facing roles
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in field environments
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent credential preferred
  • Experience with commissioning processes is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Construction Admin for multiple concurrent construction projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to resolve field challenges.
  • Provide mechanical and electrical field expertise, including commissioning support.
  • Make sound engineering decisions in real-time based on-site conditions and project requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and reporting for all site activities.
  • Participate in client consultations and represent the engineering team professionally.
