The AV Field Engineer I will be able to install and operate most types of AV systems and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems, understanding advanced system drawings, and manipulating control systems and DSP programs. The engineer will work both in-house and in the field, overseeing project installations and providing support to field staff and project managers.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support role.
  • Understand advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
  • Create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-off.
  • Understand Control System and/or DSP program manipulation and commissioning.
  • Upload and manipulate code for AV equipment such as DSP and control systems.
  • Commission audio systems.
  • Configure IP addressable devices and understand data networking.
  • Work both 'in house' and in the field when required.
  • Assume ownership of project installation and support field staff.
  • Assist with maintaining and completing project punch-list for project closeouts.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of projects and IT coordination.
  • Pre quality-check projects, test all equipment and functionality.
  • Assist sales staff with product and system demonstrations.
  • Handle other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least 3-4 years of overall audiovisual commercial integration industry experience.
  • Proven track record in audiovisual systems engineering and control systems commissioning.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, and manage tasks to completion.
