Our Core Values Safety | Continuous Development | Respect | Integrity | Performance | Trust | Fun How You Can Make an Impact The Senior Field Development Specialist – Electric will be a part of a team of instructors that deliver Electric technical training to MGE’s Electric workforce in a manner that allows the workforce to perform their jobs safely and efficiently. This position will ensure that MGE Training Academy of technical training programs are delivered with the highest level of safety and performance standards by training all employees to competence and in compliance with customer standards, procedures, and Instructor Excellence guidelines. As an instructor, you will educate, present, and observe students within the Electric Operations Department. You will be responsible for performing individual and group trainings in the field and classroom, as well as facilitating new-hire evaluations and training. This role is essential in building a best in industry Electric Operations Delivery Team. How You Will Contribute Coach, mentor and develop team members in order to reach team and individual goals and strengthen core competencies. Coach technical instructors to set expectations around what best in industry training delivery looks like and work to improve overall skill set. Create and implement team strategies to ensure work is executed on time, on target and on budget. Effectively find solutions to issues and risks presented by team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Experienced and proficient in operating a backhoe, mini excavator, vacuum equipment and commercial vehicles with the ability to train others. Ability to read and understand job plans/work instructions and instruct others accordingly. Assist in the development of training programs for both new and existing employees to maintain or improve job skills. Present employee training programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos. Perform Commercial driver and heavy equipment evaluations. Train employees in all skills necessary to complete work including material organization, transport, installation, and restoration. Experienced and proficient in customer standards and procedures with the ability to train others May lead the development of critical new tools, technology and techniques that requires cross functional coordination Initiate, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with line of business (LOB)directors/managers, project managers, and team members, working collaboratively to identify training and performance requirements and advising on learning solutions aligned with those requirements Work with Academy partners, including Curriculum Development, Professional Development, Operations, and eLearning to plan for assisting in Academy projects and rollouts Works closely with Academy Management, line of business leadership, project managers, information systems technology services (ISTS) teams, and PG&E Academy curriculum Provides technical leadership within the department Ability to travel as needed. Performs other related duties as required. What You Bring to the Table Valid Class A Driver License with clean driving record and no driving restrictions. 20 years' underground experience. 5 years of experience as Foreman or Crew Lead. Qualified Electrical Worker. Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Our Competitive Package Pay: $104,000 - $117,000 annually This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge. Requirements
