About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer (Sr. FAE) with proven technical expertise to support our customers, solve complex problems, and contribute to successful design wins. The Sr. FAE will work closely with customers at all levels and collaborate across engineering, sales, and operations teams to deliver effective solutions. The Sr. FAE also serves as a trusted technical resource within the team, sharing knowledge and best practices to strengthen overall team capabilities.

Requirements

  • College degree (Bachelor) in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) or in a related technical customer-facing role, providing technical support and solutions for server products.
  • Strong background in x86-based server architecture with expertise in system design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with hardware systems, including installation, configuration, and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with firmware, BIOS, Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Customer-focused and analytical mindset with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workflow priorities.
  • Confident speaking in front of large groups and/or senior management.
  • Focused on taking initiative to solve problems and create positive results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discussions and troubleshooting efforts for complex customer issues.
  • Work as a highly technical problem solver, understanding system architecture, hardware, and software interaction.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operation teams to initialize or support ASUS OPBG products.
  • Pay attention to detail for projects, which may include many moving parts.
  • Gather business and application requirements from the customer, including forward interaction and promotion of ASUS products.
  • Lead training and education efforts on ASUS and market technology, focused on customer needs and requirements.
  • Attend industry-related trade shows and joint customer meetings.
  • Travel is required, involving on-site customer visits, troubleshooting, or trade shows.
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource for peers by sharing best practices and supporting complex issue escalations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team processes, documentation, and technical resources.
