At Veeam, we are in search of an experienced, innovative Sr. Federal Marketing Manager to help transform our positioning for Veeam’s solutions across the federal market and drive pipeline for the Fed business. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of US Federal Marketing, you will be responsible for raising the profile and owning the message for our offerings within the federal community. This includes messaging, positioning, web, go-to-market strategy, event strategy, and creative cross-functional marketing activities that appeal to technical decision-makers, executive decision-makers, and IT administrators. You will serve as the expert on the market for Veeam and the voice of the customer—representing their care abouts and preferences from where and how they consume information to the product features and capabilities that matter to them. You will also develop and execute marketing strategies and programs that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth for the Federal Segment. This role involves close collaboration with sales teams, product marketing, and other stakeholders to create effective marketing initiatives tailored to the unique needs of the market.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement field and content marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives and effectively target local markets to drive demand and sales.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce relevant marketing materials, including brochures, social media content, email campaigns, and promotional collateral.
  • Develop differentiated product messaging and positioning that sets Veeam apart with customer understanding, competitive differentiation, and grasp of market dynamics and federal mandates and directives.
  • Align Veeam’s cybersecurity messaging with specific Executive Orders, Mandates and Directives.
  • Create and own product content for the federal pages on Veeam.com, product and promotional assets, sales cadences, blogs, and assist in delivering the solution value proposition via webinars, events, and training.
  • Plan and execute federal market focused product/feature launch efforts, bridging the gap between Product Management and Sales.
  • Collaborate with sales to understand & support ongoing enablement and asset needs and maximize the impact of messaging.
  • Responsible for sales, channel and service provider enablement alongside the Sales Acceleration team.
  • Be effective in simplifying technical content into easy to understand benefits for our end users and ecosystem partners.
  • Plan, execute, and manage marketing campaigns and programs, including events, promotions, and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with sales representatives to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and sales goals.
  • Develop programs to engage and nurture relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
  • Organize and manage local events, such as trade shows, community outreach programs, and customer appreciation events.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives in the field, utilizing metrics and KPIs to optimize strategies and report on ROI.
  • Manage the field marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for maximum impact.

Requirements

  • Creative and innovative: willing to introduce new ideas and push the envelope to win market and mindshare.
  • Data driven – Set goals and continuously improve on metrics.
  • 5-7+ years experience in product marketing, product management, or field marketing role in B2B software.
  • Backup, recovery, security and monitoring experience is highly desired.
  • Relevant experience in high tech: security, backup & recovery, preferred but not required.
  • Eager storyteller who can articulate a compelling vision.
  • Strong technical acumen with ability to quickly synthesize technical content into ‘positioning’ for non-technical audiences.
  • Self-Starter: manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and lead autonomously.
  • Driven Leader who is comfortable in a start-up like environment.
  • Team player: work across an organization to build a plan, get alignment and execute.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business Administration highly desired. MBA preferred.
  • Comfortable with Marketing Automation Tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Benefits

  • On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay.
  • Salary range: $152,700—$218,100 USD.
