About The Position

The Data Product Manager acts as a central connector within the organization, bridging business needs and data capabilities. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of a data product domain, ensuring alignment with strategic use cases, and fostering consistency and interoperability across teams and systems. The Data Product Manager collaborates with data engineers, analytics teams, and other stakeholders to strategize and deliver high-impact, scalable, governed, and reliable data products in key domains.s.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Foundational knowledge in data management, analytics, data engineering (data pipelines, storage technologies, integration, and quality assurance), and alignment with organizational data architecture.
  • Data Modeling: Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models; ability to define and govern metadata and semantics.
  • Business & Strategy: Ability to drive adoption, support scalability, and ensure ongoing maintenance of data products. Strategic vision and product roadmapping, business acumen, and change management.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration among cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Promoting Data Literacy: Ability to create documentation, deliver training, and promote data literacy across the organization.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data product management, data engineering, analytics, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data architecture, and product management best practices.
  • Experience with analytics tools (SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and data pipeline orchestration.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with emerging AI/ML capabilities strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of data products, including ideation, development, launch, monitoring, iterative improvement, and retirement.
  • Operational Leadership: Serve as the connective tissue driving a unified operational framework for data product development, ensuring alignment with business strategy and fostering cross-team collaboration between IT and analytics partners.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to scope technical, business, and operational requirements for data products.
  • Performance Monitoring: Gather feedback from developers and users, monitor product performance, and drive ongoing improvements through iterative updates.
  • Engagement & Adoption: Promote engagement and adoption of data products, facilitate training, and support user onboarding.
