About The Position

Provide leadership for their portion of the Agency’s Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative, whose mission is to strengthen, expand and integrate a comprehensive system of community- based, culturally competent behavioral health and complementary services for children with serious emotional and behavioral health needs, along with their families. She/he is accountable to the Program Director FP. The Senior Family Partner typically supervises 3-6 Family Partners, as well as liaises with the Senior Care Coordinator and other team members to achieve program objectives.

Requirements

  • Currently employed as a Family Partner at Gandara for a minimum of one (1) year.
  • Bachelor’s degree or associates degree in a human services field (preferred) and one year of experience working with the target population or high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with children/adolescents/transitioning youth.
  • Experience as a caregiver of youth with special needs, and preferably a youth with mental health issues
  • Experience with children and youth, strength-based, family centered and child focused services
  • Experience in navigating any of the child and family-serving systems and teaching family members who are involved with the child and family serving systems
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and community agencies: School Dept., DYS, Juvenile Court, etc.
  • Understanding/willingness to be part of a Program that supports youth and families 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
  • Must have a driver’s license and availability of vehicle to support Program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises 3-6 Family Partners, as well as liaises with the Senior Care Coordinator Manager and other team members to achieve program objectives.
  • Ensures each FP position is staffed appropriately and the teams operate per guidelines and achieve agreed to family caseloads and hours of service contact, per week per family.
  • The SFP may support FPs by meeting with families as necessary to resolve issues and provide support.
  • Role models and coaches the values and principles of the wraparound process.
  • Assists Supervisors provides support, feedback and problem solving to Family Partners.
  • Supervisory responsibilities and taken cases Caseload 3-6 clients
  • In conjunction with the Supervisors, instructs new and existing staff regarding Specialized CSA requirements.
  • Participate in and oversee aspects of grants and other agency indicatives
  • Provides coaching for staff individually and at Care Planning Team (CPT) meetings.
  • Interfaces with subcontractors as necessary.
  • Helps plan and conduct team meetings and trainings.
  • Ensures support and crisis/emergency services for the youth/family.
  • Expected to do face-to-face contacts and phone contacts during working hours.
