About The Position

The Senior Facility Transformation Project Manager will lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects designed to modernize and transform existing manufacturing facilities. The primary goal is to reconfigure the facility layout and infrastructure to accommodate new production value streams, new machinery, and increased operational capacity, ensuring high efficiency, safety, and compliance with all regulations.

Requirements

  • Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or complex facility capital project management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience with facility layout optimization, Lean manufacturing principles, and industrial infrastructure (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
  • Leadership: Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in LEAN Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Background in managing $10M+ CapEx projects.

Responsibilities

  • Capital Project Leadership: Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of high-visibility, multi-disciplinary capital projects, from feasibility through construction and closeout.
  • Value Stream Mapping & Implementation: Collaborate with engineering and operations to map new value streams and design facility layouts (e.g., floor plans, utilities, logistics) that maximize production workflow.
  • CapEx Management: Manage project budgets, including CapEx approval forms, cost forecasting, and vendor negotiations.
  • Construction & Facility Management: Oversee contractors, architects, and engineers to execute facility renovations, equipment installations, and infrastructure upgrades (e.g., power, HVAC, specialized utilities).
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies to maintain schedules and budgets, and manage change orders.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, EHS) and external contractors to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all modifications comply with local building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), and environmental standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate, detailed project documentation (schedules, RFI's, daily reports, equipment commissioning releases) and deliver regular progress updates to senior leadership.
