Senior Facility Manager - JLL What this job involves: As a Senior Facility Manager at JLL, you will serve as the strategic leader responsible for overseeing comprehensive facility operations across multiple properties or a major corporate campus. You'll drive cost-effective operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead sustainability initiatives that align with our clients' evolving workplace needs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive facility management experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities in commercial real estate environments
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or equivalent industry credentials
  • Proven track record managing complex facility operations including HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, security systems, and building automation technologies
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar budgets, vendor contracts, and capital expenditure programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and industry best practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in facility management software platforms, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and crisis management experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Facility Management, Real Estate, Engineering, or MBA with relevant concentration
  • 10+ years of senior facility management experience in corporate, healthcare, or mixed-use environments with portfolio management responsibilities
  • Advanced certifications such as LEED AP, Professional Engineer (PE), or specialized training in sustainability and energy management
  • Experience with workplace transformation initiatives, space planning, and change management in evolving work environments
  • Track record of implementing innovative facility technologies including IoT sensors, predictive maintenance systems, and smart building platforms
  • International facility management experience or familiarity with global corporate real estate operations
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization, performance benchmarking, and continuous improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive facility management strategies that optimize building performance, reduce operational costs, and enhance occupant satisfaction
  • Lead cross-functional teams including maintenance staff, security personnel, and vendor partners to deliver exceptional service across all facility operations
  • Manage annual budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service quality standards
  • Conduct regular facility assessments, coordinate preventive maintenance programs, and oversee capital improvement projects from conception to completion
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety codes, environmental standards, and corporate policies while maintaining detailed documentation and reporting
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand evolving workplace requirements and implement innovative solutions that support business continuity
  • Respond to facility emergencies, coordinate crisis management protocols, and maintain business continuity plans to minimize operational disruptions
  • Champion sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency programs, and workplace wellness strategies that align with environmental and corporate social responsibility goals
  • Utilize facility management technology platforms and data analytics to optimize space utilization, track performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement
