About The Position

As a Senior Facility Engineer, you will oversee and support the engineering aspects of structural and civil works for new build, retrofit, and expansion projects. Your role will involve ensuring that all projects comply with quality, technical, and regulatory standards, from initial design through to handover and commissioning. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, architects, engineers, contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure the successful planning and execution of plant structures, including the development of sustainable and cost-effective solutions for vehicle manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, ideally with a focus on industrial or structural design.
  • Several years of experience in structural or civil engineering for industrial or production facilities - preferably in the automotive, mechanical, or plant engineering sectors.
  • Solid knowledge of applicable standards, codes, and regulations
  • Experienced in working with general planners, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other digital design tools.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and address challenges in project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical coordination and support for structural and civil engineering aspects of new build, retrofit, and expansion projects.
  • Review and assess structural designs, calculations, and execution plans for industrial building, production floor, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Act as an interface between internal project teams, architects, engineering consultants, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
  • Support facility layout and plant development processes from a structural engineering perspective.
  • Contribute to the planning and design of sustainable, cost-effective, and regulation-compliant plant structures for vehicle manufacturing.
  • Ensure quality and technical standards throughout all project phases up to handover and commissioning.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions in line with project objectives and timelines.
  • Manage and mitigate risks related to structural integrity, construction methods, and compliance with local and international building codes.
  • Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and compliance statements.
  • Monitor and review the performance of contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and project deadlines.
  • Support the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability in facility design and construction.
