Senior Facility Condition Advisor - JLL What this job involves - JLL has an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Facility Condition Advisor to join our growing Asset Services team. JLL’s Asset Services - FCA team provides clients with robust physical condition and operational assessments that provide actionable information for long-term asset planning, maximization of value and operational performance. We have extensive experience in asset condition assessments of building enclosures, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety systems on numerous large-scale assignments for healthcare clients, both public and private sector clients, developers, owner occupiers and investors. What your day-to-day will look like: Serves as ongoing client demands of strategic planning and infrastructure investment solutions, providing the primary services of facility condition assessments, strategic planning, risk assessments, preventative maintenance planning and asset tagging. Project scopes range from providing solutions for a single existing facility to hundreds of existing facilities. Utilizes several software applications such as VFA facility developed and maintained by Gordian, FOScore developed and maintained by CannonDesign and Corrigo who was acquired by JLL. Performing facility evaluations by applying architectural and/or engineering standards, practices, and techniques. Regularly exercises his/her familiarity of company and project practices and procedures, and is experienced in project mobilization, setup and orientation procedures. Performing the duties of either an architectural/civil facility condition assessment assessor or a mechanical, electrical and plumbing assessor. Visually evaluating the architectural/MEP building systems, gathering data, and noting any deficient conditions. Conducts visual assessments of buildings, systems and assets to determine the current condition, remaining useful life, and cost to replace repair or renew, creating a baseline for capital planning. Responsible for minor project management for facility condition assessment projects. Work with limited supervision to start, setup and deliver facility condition assessment project meeting all client agreements in a timely manner. Work with Project Managers to support all in scope requirements of facility condition and asset service projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management (or related field); non-degreed Assessors must have 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency in the application of engineering and architectural design standards, practices, and technique
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Requires a working knowledge of commercial construction codes and their application to existing facilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Project definition, planning and management experience
  • Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CEGA or Critical Environments
  • Experience and understanding of system uniformat level 3/5
  • Experience with ASTM E2018-24
