Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical degree or 6 or more years of relevant technical experience.
  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong subject matter knowledge of industrial utility and infrastructure systems.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of building codes, governing regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience with asset management system software.
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer focus and proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Ability to balance the wants/needs of the customer with Facilities operational requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Honda project flow, budgeting, and cost reporting.
  • Project tracking and reporting for PDCA development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, implement, and communicate operational plans for completing a project.
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.
  • Manage mission critical utility infrastructure reliability, capacity, and safety.
  • Develop tracking/reporting to accurately communicate consumption and identify/resolve abnormalities.
  • Plan and execute necessary utility outage activities, including appropriate customer communication.
  • Work with internal customers and external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to develop project concepts.
  • Manage the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors.
  • Create project budgets and ensure accuracy.
  • Supervise engineers and on-site contractors.
  • Communicate and work with department design team members.
  • Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems.
  • Maintain organizational budgets for capital investment and expense activities.
  • Arrange and manage appropriate contracted services support.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to support facilities-related operations.
