About The Position

This position is a Senior Facilities Project Manager with extensive experience in managing all phases of architectural design and construction of capital projects. This position will provide planning, budgeting, and management for most or all projects contained within at least one County capital improvement element or comprehensive Master Plan program. This position will also provide guidance for projects implemented within these program areas by other Facilities Project Managers, including team leadership, direction, and turnkey project management for generally larger, more complex projects. Our projects span the spectrum from building renovations and site improvements to large, complicated buildings, and campus site development projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architecture or Construction Management.
  • Five years of experience in facilities project management, and/or architectural, engineering or site design, three years of experience must be in project management.
  • Valid Driver's License and 'safe' driving record.
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 10 years of experience in managing all phases of design and construction of capital projects.
  • Licensed professional preferred in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, or General Contracting.
  • Knowledge of jobsite and safety requirements specific to construction industry and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in development of County's annual Capital Improvement Program budget and is responsible for management of at least one Capital Improvement Budget Element.
  • Plans, manages, and implements master plan programs and major capital elements containing several projects over an extended period of time.
  • Provides guidance to other project managers implementing projects within these areas of specialties.
  • Directly manages large, complex capital projects, which may include long term, multi-phased projects providing turnkey project management and team leadership.
