About The Position

As a Senior Facilities Manager at JLL Healthcare, you will be the driving force behind creating exceptional workplace environments that empower our clients and their teams to thrive. You'll oversee the comprehensive management of facility operations, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency across healthcare properties. This role places you at the heart of shaping a brighter way for hospital occupants through strategic planning, vendor management, and innovative problem-solving. You'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver seamless facility services while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of facility management, plant operations, or maintenance supervision experience in healthcare settings
  • College degree in engineering, formal apprenticeship, or technical trade school completion
  • Proven managerial experience with budget and personnel responsibilities
  • Joint Commission/CMS Survey experience with hospital-level compliance knowledge
  • Fundamental knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, and emergency power systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office, CMMS systems, and strong written/oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • CHFM, CPMM, CFM, or other relevant facility management certifications
  • Academic Medical Center experience
  • Advanced budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Vendor management and contract negotiation experience
  • Leadership development and team coaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee hospital facilities operations teams including maintenance, quality assurance, and personnel management
  • Partner with Compliance Manager to ensure Joint Commission EOC standards and regulatory compliance
  • Manage operational budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring adherence to established budgets
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely maintenance and repairs of critical building systems
  • Mentor and develop direct reports while creating safe work environments through safety and infection control policies
  • Participate in hospital committee meetings and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction with facility management services
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide budget variance reporting and forecasting reviews
