About The Position

This role will be responsible for detailed engineering design, project management, infrastructure management and facility operations support for upstream, midstream, and CCUS projects and operations. This role is a seasoned professional who applies advanced job knowledge to achieve operational goals. Works independently with limited supervision. May manage projects and processes to improve efficiencies. May coach and review the work of junior employees. Problems faced are typically difficult and sometimes complex. Demonstrates integrity, accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards, values and culture.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in plant processing, natural gas and CO₂ compression, and midstream operations.
  • Experienced with rotating equipment, metering, dehydration units, and H₂S treating.
  • Knowledge of pipeline and process modeling tools; proficiency in Synergi, ProMax, HYSYS, or equivalent.
  • Business acumen, with cost/benefit approach and balance of cost, quality and project economics related to facilities.
  • Understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME, NACE, API, ASTM, etc.).
  • Strong project management capabilities; able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and job-related applications.
  • Uses insights from digital tools to improve performance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or industrial engineering (or related field) required.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in oil and gas facilities engineering, plant processing, midstream operation, CO2 compression, and construction management.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize plant processing, midstream/pipeline operations, CO2 compression, construction, and facilities operation.
  • Design, oversee, and support the fit for purpose installation of facilities and pipelines related to natural gas and/or CO2 transportation and compression facilities, including equipment selection, layout, and process design.
  • Manage engineering contractors for FEED and Detailed Engineering phases of projects.
  • Review and approve major engineering submittals from the contractors: Plot Plans, P&IDs, H&MB, One-Lines, etc.
  • Provide engineering design and support for fit for purpose installation, operation, and maintenance of well site production facilities including GPUs, separators, sand traps, meters, controls, tanks, etc. for new and existing wells.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure that facility materials, equipment, and installations comply with design standards and parameters.
  • Proactively analyze data and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize gas production and volume throughput through midstream systems.
  • Support regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical expertise, mentorship, and guidance to other engineers and technicians in the areas of plant processes and compression.
  • Oversee and support tracking, planning and budgeting for large complex upstream, midstream, and CCUS projects.
  • Work closely with asset management team, field operations, land personnel, procurement and environmental staff to safely achieve company goals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in oil and gas facilities engineering.
  • Perform other duties as required.
